About this wine

Les Côtes Chéries comes from a Meunier parcel planted in the early 1980s in Gueux, where the vines are rooted in the sandy soils of the Thanetian geological era. Alexandre Lamblot isolates the site and grape variety, allowing spontaneous fermentation and long bottle maturation to preserve its distinctive character. Ageing under cork and two poignettages during maturation contribute texture and complexity while maintaining the wine’s energetic profile. Macerated white fruit, freshly cut herbs and subtle savoury tones combine with an unusually vibrant, persistent palate.

Tasting Note

Gault&Millau awarded the wine 93 points and describes peach reflections, macerated white fruit and freshly cut herbs, with rare fruit intensity, complexity and sustained vibrancy through the palate.

In the nose

Macerated white fruit, ripe pear, freshly cut herbs and gentle savoury notes.

On the palate

Textural and expressive, with generous fruit, herbal complexity, energetic freshness and a long vibrating finish.

A. Lamblot

Alexandre Lamblot is one of the new-wave grower names in Champagne, working small parcels with a decidedly artisanal mindset. Organic-leaning farming, fermentations in oak and a minimalist approach in the cellar yield intensely characterful wines that are vinous, textural and often quite dry. His parcellaire cuvées, including Les Cochenes and Intuition, are sought after for their combination of energy, complexity and distinct terroir voice.
