About this wine

La Serra is one of La Morra’s most prized crus, and Bussolo’s interpretation is all about precision and lift. The 2021 vintage shows an aromatic nose of rose petals, sour cherry, pomegranate and orange peel, with hints of herbs and sweet spices. The palate is taut and chiseled rather than opulent: medium-bodied, with very fine tannins, vivid acidity and a long, mineral-driven finish. It’s an extremely refined style of Barolo, closer to Burgundy in texture than many traditional bottlings, and will appeal to drinkers who value fragrance and finesse over sheer weight.
