About this wine

“Vigna Santa Lucia” is Bussolo’s original Barbera project: a historic vineyard in La Morra planted on calcareous soils, worked at low yields to emphasise finesse over sheer power. The 2022 shows a vibrant, medium-deep ruby colour and a perfume of violets, wild flowers, cherry and subtle spice. On the palate it’s fresh and energetic, with juicy red fruit, fine acidity and a silky, almost Burgundian texture, offering plenty of depth without heaviness. This is Barbera built for the table: serious enough for fine dining, but joyful and approachable even in youth.
