About this wine

Marqués de Murrieta “Finca Ygay” Reserva 2014 is the bodega’s cornerstone red Rioja, blended mostly from Tempranillo with small amounts of other traditional varieties. The wine is aged in American oak barrels for around 19 months, integrating red berry fruit with caramel, spice and subtle vanilla tones. James Suckling describes this vintage as having a complex nose of forest berries and caramel with a silky palate and supple tannins. It is an elegant, versatile Rioja for classic food pairings such as lamb, grilled meats and mature cheeses.
