About this wine

Champs de Morjot is a warm, well-exposed site better known for red Chassagne, giving wines of ripe fruit and generous texture. Philippe Colin’s 2023 shows bright cherry and raspberry fruit with notes of spice, violets and gentle earthiness. On the palate it is medium-bodied and juicy, with fine-grained tannins and enough freshness to keep it lively and food-friendly. This is a charming yet serious red Burgundy for drinking over 5–10 years with duck, charcuterie or roast pork.

Philippe Colin

Philippe Colin’s estate, born from the division of the Colin-Deléger domaine, focuses on Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay and neighbouring villages. His whites are clean, modern and precise, with well-judged use of oak and an emphasis on freshness and aromatic clarity. From Bourgogne Chardonnay to premier crus and the rare Chevalier-Montrachet, the wines offer a polished, accessible expression of Côte de Beaune terroir with enough depth to reward a few years in the cellar.
