About this wine

Rubicon 2022 blends Cabernet Sauvignon (44%), Merlot (40%), Cabernet Franc (12%) and Petit Verdot (4%) from various Stellenbosch vineyards on granitic and gravelly soils. It offers a deep ruby colour and complex aromas of violets, black plum, blackberry, cassis, cedar, herbs and potpourri. The palate is full-bodied with fresh dark fruit, rounded tannins and seamlessly integrated oak after about 18 months in French barrels, a large proportion new. With 10–20 years of ageing potential, Rubicon remains a benchmark for Cape Bordeaux blends.
