About this wine

Les Chardonnays Perchés is made from 100% Chardonnay grown on a single, south-facing plot in Cernay-les-Reims. Fermented spontaneously in barrels with natural malolactic and bottled without dosage, the 2021 shows lemon, green apple and white flowers with notes of pastry, almond and wet chalk. Only a few hundred bottles were produced, offering a very pure, linear and mineral expression of Chardonnay that rewards careful serving and food pairing.

Critics describe intense citrus and green apple, floral notes and a hint of nuts and brioche, a slender but tense palate and a long, bone-dry, chalky finish.

In the glass

Very pale straw with a fine, persistent bead.

In the nose

Lemon and green apple with white flowers, crushed chalk and a touch of almond and pastry.

On the palate

Slender and tensile, with crisp citrus fruit, firm acidity, subtle barrel richness and a long, bone-dry, mineral finish.

Sacy Soeur & Frère

Sacy Soeur & Frère is a young project launched by siblings Yaël and Jonathan Sacy, revitalising their family’s vineyards in the Montagne de Reims. They bottle precise, low-dosage Champagnes and still Coteaux Champenois that explore specific lieux-dits and grape combinations, from Chardonnay-based Blanc de Blancs to structured Blanc de Noirs. The wines are modern in spirit – vivid, detailed and terroir-conscious – while remaining firmly rooted in Champagne’s craft.
