About this wine

Dits del Terra (“fingers of the earth”) is sourced from 60–100-year-old Carinyena vines on warm, south-facing llicorella slopes. Biodynamic farming, whole-cluster fermentation and ageing in concrete and large foudres yield a wine that’s all about depth and texture rather than oak. The 2023 vintage combines dense black fruit and warm spices with graphite, smoked tea and balsamic complexity, yet retains the freshness and savouriness that define Terroir al Límit.

Tasting Note

Gutiérrez calls 2023 a concentrated but finely poised Dits, with layered black fruit, licorice and wild herbs, framed by firm but polished tannins and a long, mineral, slightly smoky finish; James Suckling adds notes of ripe blackberry, cocoa and dried Mediterranean herbs with impressive tension.

In the glass

Dark ruby-purple.

In the nose

Black cherry, blackberry, licorice, black tea, dried rosemary, smoked meat and graphite.

On the palate

Full-bodied and concentrated, with rich black fruit, savoury spice, firm but velvety tannins and a very long, smoky-mineral finish.

Terroir al Límit

Terroir al Límit, led by Dominik Huber, brought a Burgundian sensibility to Priorat: whole clusters, gentle extractions and large neutral vessels. The wines are lighter on their feet than classic blockbusters, but no less profound – redder fruit, floral lift and a cool, stony backbone. It’s a benchmark for elegant, site-transparent Priorat.
