About this wine

This Barolo is sourced from multiple vineyards within the Serralunga commune, giving a complete snapshot of this powerful terroir. The bouquet mixes roses and violets with red cherry, sweet spice and a touch of underbrush. On the palate it starts silky and graceful, then reveals the tight tannic weave typical of Serralunga, supported by fresh acidity. A serious yet approachable Barolo that will drink well over the next 10–15 years.

Tasting Note

Classic Serralunga Nebbiolo with a cool, mineral edge: rose and violet, red cherry/redcurrant, then tar, licorice, graphite/iron and sweet spice. Medium-to-full, tightly coiled and structural, with fresh acidity and fine, velvety tannins that build through the finish.

In the glass

Lustrous garnet with orange-tinged rim.

In the nose

Roses, sour cherry, orange peel, licorice and subtle oak spice.

On the palate

Medium+ body, plenty of red fruit, chalky Serralunga tannins and a long, savoury, mineral finish.

Palladino

Palladino is a traditional estate in Serralunga known for honest, classically structured Barolo. Farming historic crus such as San Bernardo and Ornato, they produce wines with depth, iron-tinged minerality and firm yet noble tannins. Their Barbera, Nebbiolo and whites show the same straightforward, terroir-first philosophy.
