The wines of Burgundy

Burgundy is one of the most fascinating wine regions in the world, but also one of the most difficult to navigate. Small vineyards, limited production, famous villages and rising global demand have made Burgundy increasingly expensive. Yet for those who know where to look, the region still offers wines of remarkable purity, elegance and value.

Terroir & finesse

At Peak Wines, our Burgundy selection is built around that exact balance. We look for bottles that show the finesse and detail Burgundy is known for, without blindly chasing the most inflated names. That means a careful mix of legendary estates, serious Premier Cru and Grand Cru bottles, and more accessible wines from producers who still overdeliver in the glass.

The heart of Burgundy is terroir. A small change in slope, soil or exposure can completely shift the personality of a wine. From the mineral precision of Chablis to the perfume and structure of the Côte de Nuits, and from the refined whites of the Côte de Beaune to the more approachable wines of the Côte Chalonnaise and regional Bourgogne, Burgundy rewards attention to detail.

Cult producers & daily bottles

Our selection includes rare and age-worthy bottles from respected names, but also wines designed for more regular drinking: Bourgogne Chardonnay, Bourgogne Côte d’Or, village-level Pinot Noir, Chablis, Montagny, Pommard, Santenay and other appellations where quality can still be found at a more reasonable level. In a region where prices can quickly become extreme, we believe curation matters more than ever.

For white Burgundy, we focus on Chardonnay with freshness, texture and mineral clarity. For red Burgundy, we look for Pinot Noir with purity, fragrance and balance rather than excess weight. Whether it is a Grand Cru from a cult producer or a modest regional wine from a talented grower, the goal remains the same: wines that feel precise, elegant and true to place.

Burgundy has become expensive, but it should not become inaccessible. The right bottles still offer beauty, nuance and genuine drinking pleasure. Our role is to find them.
Explore our Burgundy wines and discover a carefully curated selection of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, from iconic bottles to high-quality, everyday Burgundy.
