About this wine

Amélie Berthaut has put Fixin back on serious Burgundy drinkers’ maps, and the village cuvée is a blend of several organically farmed parcels. The 2023 shows dark cherry and wild strawberry with earthy and mineral notes, plus a touch of white pepper and sous-bois. It’s medium-bodied, with fresh, vivid acidity and a fine but gently rustic tannic frame that speaks clearly of Fixin. A superb value entry into the domaine’s style.

Neal Martin (Vinous) describes the 2023 Fixin as offering pure Morello cherry and wild strawberry aromas with a hint of briar; the palate shows a touch of sucrosity, red fruit laced with candied orange peel and white pepper, generous and playful with good drinkability.
