About this wine

This 2018 Echézeaux “Du Dessus” reflects Michel Noëllat’s polished, serious Côte de Nuits style. Hand harvesting, full destemming, native-yeast fermentation and an élevage of roughly 15–18 months in French oak, with up to about 70% new barrels for grand cru wines. The result is a wine with real density and dark-fruited amplitude, but also control and refinement in the tannins, making it a convincing grand cru rather than a purely oaky statement.
