About this wine

Latour-Giraud’s Meursault Bouchères 2022 comes from a cool, stony 1er Cru site that naturally gives tension and refinement. The wine opens on white flowers, pear and crisp apple, then deepens towards almond and subtle pastry with air. On the palate it is medium-bodied but intense, delivering juicy stone-fruit, saline minerality and a refreshing line of acidity that keeps everything lifted. This is a classic, fine-boned Meursault for those who prefer precision over opulence. It will drink beautifully in its youth but also gain complexity over 8–12 years.

Tasting Note

Morris describes the 2022 Bouchères as pale in colour with a very pretty, floral nose and flavours of fresh pear and apple framed by lively acidity, finishing with delicacy and good length.

In the glass

Pale lemon with green reflections, bright and crystalline.

In the nose

White flowers, pear, green apple, hint of almond and wet stone.

On the palate

Medium-bodied, precise and saline with juicy orchard fruit and a long, tense, mineral finish.

Latour-Giraud

Latour-Giraud is a classic Meursault domaine, known for serious, age-worthy whites from top village and premier cru sites such as Genevrières and Bouchères. The style is generous yet controlled: ripe fruit and creamy textures balanced by real drive, length and a fine line of acidity. Long lees aging and quality oak add complexity without smothering the wines’ underlying stony character; their reds from Pommard provide a savoury, structured counterpoint.
