About this wine

Les Chenevottes lies just above Le Montrachet and shares similar thin, stony soils that naturally give fine, mineral wines. Colin’s 2023 is scented with white flowers, citrus zest and stone fruit, underlined by chalky notes and discreet oak. The palate is medium-bodied and precise, with juicy fruit, a touch of creaminess from lees ageing and a long, saline, stony finish. This is a focused, elegant Chassagne 1er Cru with clear ageing potential over 10+ years.

Philippe Colin

Philippe Colin’s estate, born from the division of the Colin-Deléger domaine, focuses on Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay and neighbouring villages. His whites are clean, modern and precise, with well-judged use of oak and an emphasis on freshness and aromatic clarity. From Bourgogne Chardonnay to premier crus and the rare Chevalier-Montrachet, the wines offer a polished, accessible expression of Côte de Beaune terroir with enough depth to reward a few years in the cellar.
