About this wine

Heréditas is an assemblage of several Chardonnay plots around Chassagne, intended as a snapshot of the domaine’s style. The 2023 shows ripe citrus and orchard fruit with hints of almond and brioche, all framed by lively acidity. It overdelivers for its level and is an excellent introduction to Joseph Colin.

Joseph Colin

Joseph Colin, from the Colin family of Chassagne, has quickly built a strong reputation for finely chiselled white Burgundies. Working primarily in Saint-Aubin, Chassagne and Puligny, he favours low yields, careful pressing and restrained bâtonnage to preserve tension and minerality. The resulting Chardonnays are vivid and precise, with citrus, stone-fruit and subtle reduction wrapped around a strong, saline backbone.
