About this wine

Les Chenevottes lies just below Le Montrachet and shares similar thin, stony soils that produce refined, floral Chardonnays. Colin’s 2023 bottling offers lemon, peach and apricot notes supported by discreet oak, with a vibrant acid spine and persistent, saline finish. Old vines (80+ years in some parcels) add depth and texture.

Joseph Colin

Joseph Colin, from the Colin family of Chassagne, has quickly built a strong reputation for finely chiselled white Burgundies. Working primarily in Saint-Aubin, Chassagne and Puligny, he favours low yields, careful pressing and restrained bâtonnage to preserve tension and minerality. The resulting Chardonnays are vivid and precise, with citrus, stone-fruit and subtle reduction wrapped around a strong, saline backbone.
