About this wine

The 2019 Barolo Via Nuova combines fruit from six or seven crus across Barolo and Monforte (including Liste, Mosconi, Ravera and others), giving a broad snapshot of the commune’s terroirs. Organic farming and microscopic yields, followed by small-lot vinification and two years in French oak barriques, produce a Barolo with lifted florals, red and black fruits, spice and a distinctly mineral backbone. It sits stylistically between the airy elegance of Cannubi and the power of Mosconi, and is often the most “complete” wine in the cellar.

E. Pira & Figli (Chiara Boschis)

E. Pira & Figli, under Chiara Boschis, is one of Barolo’s most respected producers, blending traditional terroir expression with modern precision. Based in Cannubi, the estate produces Nebbiolo wines of fragrance, balance and depth, with fine tannins and layered complexity. Chiara Boschis has been instrumental in shaping a more elegant, refined style of contemporary Barolo.
