About this wine

A parcel-specific Trépail Chardonnay that pushes the estate’s terroir reading further than the more general bottlings. The site gives more density and concentration while remaining chalk-driven, and the wine is structured by barrel vinification and long ageing. That combination leads to a Blanc de Blancs with real substance and persistence rather than a purely airy, aperitif style.

Tasting Note

Ripe fruit, citrus, slight smoke, breadth on the palate and a strong vertical tension through the finish.

In the glass

Golden straw.

In the nose

Ripe fruit, citrus and a lightly smoky note.

On the palate

Broad and dense, but tightened by a clear chalky, vertical line.

Carré Frères

Carré Frères is a young grower Champagne domaine from Trépail in the eastern Montagne de Reims, led by Édouard and Victor Carré. Their work focuses especially on Chardonnay, single-parcel expression and vinification that often leans toward a Burgundian sense of texture and oak integration. The wines are precise, chalky and ambitious, showing the deeper, more vinous side of Trépail.
