About this wine

Paolo Conterno is one of the classic producers of Ginestra, working with old vines on steep, south-facing slopes. The 2015 Barolo Ginestra shows concentrated red and black cherry, bramble and warm spice, with earthy and balsamic complexity. On the palate it is medium-plus-bodied but very intense, with savoury, structured tannins and a long, persistent finish. Extended ageing in large botti and the powerful terroir make this a wine that shines with time in the cellar.

Paolo Conterno

A traditional Monforte estate delivering structured, age-worthy Barolo. Paolo Conterno wines feature long macerations, large-cask aging, and a firm, mineral-driven style that reflects the village’s deeper soils. The results are classic Nebbiolo with tension, length, and serious cellar potential.
