About this wine

COS Frappato is one of Sicily’s most recognisable light reds, sourced from organically farmed vineyards around Vittoria. Vinified with native yeasts and very gentle extraction, then matured in concrete to preserve fragrance, it pours a pale ruby and bursts with sour cherry, strawberry, pomegranate and blood-orange zest, framed by Mediterranean herbs and a whisper of spice. The palate is light to medium-bodied, energetic and saline, with silky tannins and a refreshing, slightly bitter twist on the finish. It’s a go-to for chillable red and an archetype of modern Sicilian elegance.

COS

COS is a pioneering natural-leaning estate in Vittoria, famous for Frappato and Cerasuolo di Vittoria. Biodynamic farming, amphorae and large neutral vessels produce wines that are fragrant, fresh and medium-bodied, often with a savoury, earthy edge. They show a very elegant, cooler side of Sicilian terroir.
