About this wine

Pian delle Masche comes from Dolcetto vines planted in 1968 on marl-limestone soils at 300–350 m in La Morra. The 2024 is conceived as a fresh, varietal Dolcetto without oak influence. Degustibus describes an intense ruby wine with lots of red fruit and berries, soft tannins and a smooth, juicy mouthfeel; Van Eccelpoel highlights its “intense red wine with lots of red fruit and berries,” soft, fruit-packed and supple. The absence of wood keeps the focus on brightness and drinkability, making it a perfect match for grilled meats, pizza and rustic Italian cooking.

Crissante

Crissante is a family domaine in La Morra, farming key crus like Capalot and Galina. Their wines tend toward a classic Barolo profile: fragrant Nebbiolo with red fruit, roses and spice, supported by firm but civilised tannins. Traditional vinification and thoughtful oak use give bottles that are approachable yet capable of meaningful aging.
