About this wine

Flor de Pingus 2021 is sourced from old Tempranillo vines on clay-limestone in La Horra. The wine delivers ample black fruit, violets, licorice and spice, with a refined, almost Burgundian sense of texture. Tannins are powerful but ultra-fine, and the finish is long, savoury and mineral. It’s a serious, age-worthy Ribera that already drinks beautifully after decanting.

Tasting Note

Deep, perfumed nose of blackberry, blueberry, violet and spice; the palate is rich yet linear, with great concentration, fine tannins and a very long, precise finish.

Opaque ruby-purple.

Blackberry, blueberry, violet, licorice, vanilla and graphite.

On the palate

Full-bodied, dense fruit, very fine but firm tannins, juicy acidity and a long, mineral, savoury finish.
