About this wine

This cuvée comes from a south-east to south-west facing single parcel on very white Kimmeridgian limestone in Loches-sur-Ource. It's Chardonnay purity, the distinctly calcareous soil signature and the estate’s natural, oak-led approach, make it feel closer to a terroir wine than a blended house Champagne.

Tasting Note

White flowers, citrus and hazelnut, with freshness, minerality and a long elegant finish.

In the glass

Pale gold.

In the nose

White flowers, citrus and a hint of hazelnut.

On the palate

Fresh, mineral and elegant, with a chalky finish and restrained richness.

Doussot-Bourdot

Doussot-Bourdot is a family domaine in the Côte des Bar, in the southern part of Champagne, that has moved from selling grapes to bottling its own terroir-driven wines. Under Billy Doussot, the focus is on honest, vibrant Champagnes – often Pinot Noir-led – that highlight the ripeness, spice and mineral cut of this limestone-rich area. Low dosage, thoughtful viticulture and long lees aging give cuvées with energy, precision and character.
