About this wine

This cuvée is designed to link Paul Gosset’s work to that of his father through a reserve perpétuelle kept in demi-muids. It's an assemblage of years, terroirs and grapes with the first year of the solera dating back to 2004, and grapes are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The result is a wine with more vinous depth and reserve complexity than a straightforward aperitif Champagne. It is especially good with charcuterie, poultry, mushroom dishes and hard cheeses.

Tasting Note

Critics frame it as a layered, reserve-shaped Champagne with texture, maturity and artisanal complexity rather than simple fruitiness.

In the glass

Golden straw with refined mousse. This is consistent with its reserve-based style.

In the nose

Baked apple, citrus peel, light toast and subtle oxidative notes. This is an inference from the perpetual-reserve and demi-muid élevage style.

On the palate

Textural and broad, with layered orchard fruit, savoury maturity and a dry persistent finish.

Paul Gosset

Paul Gosset is a boutique grower Champagne project focused on precision and purity. Working with carefully selected parcels, the approach emphasises clean vinification, low dosage and clarity of fruit. The wines are elegant, focused and quietly complex, appealing to those who value finesse over opulence.
