About this wine

Sourced from vineyards around Vosne-Romanée, L’Ambroise blends equal parts Gamay and Pinot Noir, co-fermented in a low-intervention style. The wine is all about fruit and finesse: red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry, with subtle peppery and floral notes. Medium-light in body with very soft tannins and a juicy, refreshing finish, it’s designed to be drunk slightly chilled and shared liberally. It’s a perfect bistro red for charcuterie, simple grills or vegetarian dishes.

Tasting Note

Critics describe L’Ambroise as a Coteaux Bourguignons from Vosne vines, half Gamay and half Pinot, delivering a “haute couture” light red full of finesse.

In the glass

Light ruby, translucent at the rim.

In the nose

Red berries (strawberry, cherry), violets and a hint of white pepper.

On the palate

Silky and fresh, with crunchy red fruit, minimal tannin and a vibrant, mouth-watering finish.

Jeremy Recchione

Jérémy Recchione runs a micro-négoce that vinifies small parcels from across Burgundy (and occasionally beyond) with a strong emphasis on finesse and drinkability. Grapes are sourced from carefully chosen growers, and the cellar work favours gentle extraction, modest oak and a clear, lifted fruit profile. Whether Aligoté, Hautes-Côtes or village-level sites, the wines feel thoughtful, vivid and finely detailed.
