About this wine

Recchione’s Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Blanc comes from Chardonnay planted around Curtil-Vergy, on cool, limestone-rich slopes above the Côte de Nuits. Farmed organically and vinified with low intervention, it shows chiselled citrus and green-apple fruit, a touch of white peach and floral notes, and a very stony backbone. Ageing in mostly neutral barrels on fine lees adds texture without masking the wine’s transparent minerality. The result is a white Burgundy of finesse and energy, suited to shellfish, crudo or simply grilled fish.

Tasting Note

Critics call Recchione’s Hautes-Côtes wines “haute couture”, highlighting sublime finesse and fine, saline precision.

In the glass

Pale lemon with a slight green hue.

In the nose

Lemon, green apple and white flowers over chalk and crushed stone.

On the palate

Tense and linear, with bright acidity, subtle lees creaminess and a salty, refreshing finish.

Jeremy Recchione

Jérémy Recchione runs a micro-négoce that vinifies small parcels from across Burgundy (and occasionally beyond) with a strong emphasis on finesse and drinkability. Grapes are sourced from carefully chosen growers, and the cellar work favours gentle extraction, modest oak and a clear, lifted fruit profile. Whether Aligoté, Hautes-Côtes or village-level sites, the wines feel thoughtful, vivid and finely detailed.
