About this wine

Saint-Romain is one of Recchione’s favoured terroirs for Chardonnay, offering cool nights and limestone scree that naturally limit yields. In 2023 the wine likely shows bright lemon and grapefruit with hints of white peach and blossom, over a very stony core. Ageing in older barrels on lees brings texture and complexity without heavy oak imprint. It’s a quietly serious white that punches above its village status, perfect for seafood, roast chicken or alpine cheeses.
