About this wine

Champs de Vosger is a hillside vineyard in Fixin giving naturally concentrated, spicy Pinot. In 2023 the wine combines black cherry, blackberry and bramble with hints of violets, earth and spice. It’s more structured than Galeyrand’s Bourgogne wines and suits hearty cuisine or a few years of cellaring.

Tasting Note

Critics describe it as a muscular yet polished Fixin with dark fruit, floral lift and grippy but refined tannins.

In the glass

Deep ruby-purple.

In the nose

Black cherry, hedgerow berries, violets, undergrowth and subtle oak.

On the palate

Medium-plus body, concentrated fruit, firm tannic frame and savoury, slightly wild finish.

Jérôme Galeyrand

Jérôme Galeyrand is a rising star of the Côte de Nuits, working mostly with old vines on cooler sites from Bourgogne-level to Gevrey-Chambertin. Organic-leaning farming, significant whole-cluster use and delicate extractions give wines that are perfumed, silky and full of nuance. His reds show a very pure, transparent expression of Pinot Noir, with a lovely balance of charm and depth.
