About this wine

From cooler, higher vineyards, Hauts Combes emphasises tension and linearity. Citrus, green apple and subtle white flowers dominate, with a chalky, mouth-watering finish and minimal oak imprint. It’s a terrific value white Burgundy for the table.

Joseph Colin

Joseph Colin, from the Colin family of Chassagne, has quickly built a strong reputation for finely chiselled white Burgundies. Working primarily in Saint-Aubin, Chassagne and Puligny, he favours low yields, careful pressing and restrained bâtonnage to preserve tension and minerality. The resulting Chardonnays are vivid and precise, with citrus, stone-fruit and subtle reduction wrapped around a strong, saline backbone.
