About this wine

Clos du Meix is a monopole-style clos yielding wines of good ripeness and texture. Colin’s 2023 combines pear, apple and lemon cream with hints of hazelnut and spice, carried by balanced acidity. It’s an inviting, versatile food white.

Tasting Note

Critics highlight its generous fruit and well-integrated oak over a fresh, mineral frame.

Ripe pear, apple, lemon cream, light hazelnut.

On the palate

Medium body with rounded fruit, gentle oak, bright acidity and a clean, mineral finish.

Joseph Colin

Joseph Colin, from the Colin family of Chassagne, has quickly built a strong reputation for finely chiselled white Burgundies. Working primarily in Saint-Aubin, Chassagne and Puligny, he favours low yields, careful pressing and restrained bâtonnage to preserve tension and minerality. The resulting Chardonnays are vivid and precise, with citrus, stone-fruit and subtle reduction wrapped around a strong, saline backbone.
