About this wine

Compendium brings together fruit from multiple climats to create a complete, harmonious Saint-Aubin. The 2023 has lemon and green apple fruit, subtle white flowers and a chalky, saline finish, with modest oak framing. It’s a superb, versatile white Burgundy.

Pale lemon.

In the nose

Lemon, green apple, white flowers, subtle oak spice.

On the palate

Medium body with crisp citrus fruit, lively acidity and a saline, mineral finish.

Joseph Colin

Joseph Colin, from the Colin family of Chassagne, has quickly built a strong reputation for finely chiselled white Burgundies. Working primarily in Saint-Aubin, Chassagne and Puligny, he favours low yields, careful pressing and restrained bâtonnage to preserve tension and minerality. The resulting Chardonnays are vivid and precise, with citrus, stone-fruit and subtle reduction wrapped around a strong, saline backbone.
