About this wine

Sous Roche Dumay is a rocky, cooler climat that produces leaner, more vertical wines. The 2023 shows lemon, grapefruit and green apple with a pronounced mineral streak and light herbal hints. It’s a great choice for those who like their white Burgundy on the taut side.

Tasting Note

Critics stress its tension, citrus profile and chalky, saline finish.

Lemon, grapefruit pith, green apple, chalk.

On the palate

Light-medium body, high-ish acidity, citrus-driven with a lean, mineral finish.

Joseph Colin

Joseph Colin, from the Colin family of Chassagne, has quickly built a strong reputation for finely chiselled white Burgundies. Working primarily in Saint-Aubin, Chassagne and Puligny, he favours low yields, careful pressing and restrained bâtonnage to preserve tension and minerality. The resulting Chardonnays are vivid and precise, with citrus, stone-fruit and subtle reduction wrapped around a strong, saline backbone.
