About this wine

L’Archette is Clos de la Bonnette’s IGP Viognier, sourced from young, organically farmed vines on alluvial, sandy-loam soils in the plains below Condrieu. The 2023 vintage shows an intense yellow colour and a lifted bouquet of quince, nectarine, vine-peach, honey and a touch of pineapple. The palate starts fine and fresh, with flavours of quince and vanilla, then broadens into citrus and exotic fruit while retaining a clean, mineral line. With six months of élevage split between stainless steel and seasoned barrels, it captures Viognier’s exuberant aromatics without heaviness, making it ideal by the glass or alongside grilled fish, salads, soft cheeses and light white-meat dishes.

Quince, nectarine, vine peach, hints of honey and ripe pineapple.

On the palate

Fresh and silky, with quince and vanilla leading into citrus and exotic fruit, finishing long and aromatic.

Domaine Clos de la Bonnette

A small, committed estate working steep terraces in Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie. Domaine Clos de la Bonnette farms organically and vinifies with restraint to preserve fruit purity and site character. Viognier shows freshness and texture without heaviness; Syrah is floral, supple, and mineral. Authentic, artisanal Rhône with real finesse.
