About this wine

Lamoresca Rosato comes from sandy vineyards around Vittoria and neighbouring sites, planted to Nero d’Avola, Frappato and a small proportion of Moscato. Grapes are pressed after only a few hours’ skin contact, then the juice rests and ferments in vats (concrete/neutral vessels) before a relatively early bottling to capture maximum freshness. The result is a very pale, copper-pink wine with aromas of orange blossom, wild strawberries, citrus zest and sea-spray. On the palate it’s dry, salty and super-refreshing, with blood-orange bitters and a faintly herbal, tonic edge.
