About this wine

Clos Fontà comes from old Garnatxa and Carinyena vines on classic llicorella slate at altitude, farmed organically and biodynamically. The 2018 vintage shows pristine red and black fruits, Mediterranean scrub, violet, smoke and deep, slate-driven minerality. It’s full-bodied yet not heavy, with polished tannins and a long, savoury, balsamic-tinged finish. This is a top-tier, age-worthy Priorat.

Tasting Note

Elegant nose of sweet cherry, red and black berries, Mediterranean herbs, subtle floral nuances and smoke over a deep mineral core; on the palate it is rich and powerful yet fresh, with dense fruit, fine tannins and a long, spicy, slatey finish.

Deep, dark garnet.

Black cherry, plum, Mediterranean herbs, violet, graphite and smoke.
