About this wine

Coma Calcari (formerly Coma Alta) comes from a high, north-east-facing limestone plot, organically grown and now biodynamic. The 2022 vintage brings ripe citrus and yellow fruit, floral and herbal tea notes, and a marked salty, stony character. Despite 14.5% alcohol, it feels tense and focused, with high acidity and a mouth-watering, mineral finish that recalls top Alsace or German Riesling more than a stereotypical Mediterranean white.

Tasting Note

Aromas of yellow flowers, ripe citrus and stone fruit, pollen and aromatic herbs over a distinctly salty, limestone-driven core; the palate is full but very fresh, with vibrant acidity and a savoury, mineral, long finish.

Bright straw with green hints.

Lemon, quince, yellow flowers, chamomile, herbs and chalk.

Energetic and saline; ripe citrus and stone fruit framed by firm acidity and a long, mineral finish.
