About this wine

Coma Vella is Mas d’en Gil’s “second” red, a blend dominated by Garnatxa with Carinyena and a touch of Syrah from slate terraces. The 2020 offers ripe red and black fruits, plum, liquorice and Mediterranean herbs with well-judged oak. On the palate it is medium-to-full-bodied, with juicy acidity, firm but approachable tannins and a savoury, slate-driven finish.

Mas d’en Gil

Mas d’en Gil is a historic estate in the heart of Priorat, combining old-vine Garnacha and Carinyena with Mediterranean herbs and llicorella (slate) soils. Their wines balance the region’s natural richness with freshness and minerality, moving away from heaviness toward depth, finesse and length. Expect dark fruit, spice and a clear sense of place.
