About this wine

The 2015 Monprivato shows why this cru is considered one of Barolo’s finest. Aromas of red and purple fruit, cherry, plum and dried blackberry mingle with rose petals, spice and subtle tar. The palate is deep and concentrated but never heavy, delivering precision, abundance and impressive length. Tannins are abundant but finely textured, promising decades of evolution in bottle. It’s a striking intersection of classical structure and warm-vintage generosity.

Giuseppe Mascarello

An essential name in Barolo and the longtime steward of Monprivato, one of the Langhe’s great vineyards. Giuseppe Mascarello produces classically crafted Barolo: long fermentations, large casks, and a focus on finesse over force. Monprivato stands out for its perfume, detail, and longevity, offering a pure expression of terroir with remarkable balance.
