About this wine

The estate Barolo is Massolino’s calling card, crafted from hand-harvested Nebbiolo from limestone-rich parcels in Serralunga. In 2020 the wine shows a beautiful balance of openness and structure: aromas of cherry, plum, rose and violets mingle with tobacco, cedar, sweet spices and a touch of underbrush. The palate is medium-plus in body with ripe yet firm tannins, savoury depth and a long, tobacco-and-licorice-tinged finish. It’s classical Barolo in style – serious but not austere, and a superb value in top-tier Nebbiolo.

Massolino

Massolino is a cornerstone estate in Serralunga, combining traditional Barolo virtues with a polished, accessible style. From Barolo Classico to crus like Margheria, Parafada and Vigna Rionda, the wines show depth, savoury complexity and the powerful tannic backbone typical of the village. Their broader range – from Dolcetto to Moscato – is crafted with the same precision and reliability.
