About this wine

Margheria comes from calcareous soil with some sand, giving a slightly more perfumed and refined expression of Serralunga Nebbiolo. The 2017 shows intense garnet colour and scents of flowers, spice and ripe red fruit. On the palate it is powerful yet juicy, with soft but full tannins and a long, fresh finish that balances the warm vintage. It’s a very classic, food-friendly Barolo that will reward a decade or more of ageing.
