About this wine

Margheria is a historic south-facing cru in Serralunga, producing Barolo with depth and mineral drive. The 2020 from Massolino shows ripe cherry and blackberry layered with hibiscus, orange peel, iron filings, licorice and tobacco. The palate is powerful but finely etched: concentrated fruit, firm yet refined tannins and a long, salty-mineral finish. It’s more serious and ageworthy than the estate Barolo, ideal for truffle dishes and game.

Massolino

Massolino is a cornerstone estate in Serralunga, combining traditional Barolo virtues with a polished, accessible style. From Barolo Classico to crus like Margheria, Parafada and Vigna Rionda, the wines show depth, savoury complexity and the powerful tannic backbone typical of the village. Their broader range – from Dolcetto to Moscato – is crafted with the same precision and reliability.
