About this wine

Sourced from 60–65-year-old vines in a particularly warm, limestone-rich site, Parafada tends to produce Barolo of impressive depth. The 2017 vintage offers ripe black and red cherry fruit, hints of blue fruit, iron and warm spice. Tannins are abundant but ripe, with a mouth-coating texture that will integrate further over time. Compared to Margheria, Parafada is a bit more muscular and dramatic, ideal for richer food pairings and long cellaring.

Black cherry, plum, iron, warm spice.

On the palate

Full-bodied, dense fruit, broad tannins, long finish.

Massolino

A cornerstone of Serralunga. Massolino’s Barolo captures the village’s depth and power but with impressive refinement. The estate combines careful farming, traditional vinification, and patient cask aging. The wines show structure, mineral tension, and potential for long aging. Consistent, reliable, and deeply rooted in classical Barolo craft.
