About this wine

Parussi lies in Castiglione Falletto, on more mixed soils than Serralunga’s, and gives Barolo that balance red fruit charm with structure. In 2020 the wine opens with bright red cherry, raspberry, rose petal, blood orange and subtle spice. The palate is medium-plus in body, with fine-grained tannins, lively acidity and a long, mineral, almost saline finish. It has a slightly more approachable personality than the Serralunga crus but plenty of depth for cellaring.

Tasting Note

Wine Advocateemphasises vivid red fruit, floral lift and precision, with lots of energy and a tightly wound, ageworthy structure.

In the glass

Vivid garnet, a touch paler at the rim than Serralunga wines.

In the nose

Red cherry, raspberry, rose, citrus peel, subtle spice.

On the palate

Elegant, medium-plus body, fine tannins, precise and very long.

Massolino

Massolino is a cornerstone estate in Serralunga, combining traditional Barolo virtues with a polished, accessible style. From Barolo Classico to crus like Margheria, Parafada and Vigna Rionda, the wines show depth, savoury complexity and the powerful tannic backbone typical of the village. Their broader range – from Dolcetto to Moscato – is crafted with the same precision and reliability.
