About this wine

Clos de la Cerisaie Blanc comes from a walled vineyard on tuffeau and clay, farmed biodynamically. The 2021 shows ripe quince, apple and citrus, with notes of honey, chamomile and flint. On the palate it’s medium-bodied but powerful, with a waxy Chenin texture, bright acidity and a distinctly chalky, saline finish. It’s a serious, gastronomic Loire white that will age well.

Domaine Melaric

Domaine Mélaric is a small, artisanal estate working the limestone slopes of Saumur with organic and often biodynamic practices. They specialise in soulful Chenin Blancs and Cabernet Francs that are vibrant, saline and finely textured rather than powerful. The wines feel hand-crafted and honest, highlighting freshness, drinkability and a strong sense of place.
