About this wine

“Sac de Biles” is one of Mélaric’s more experimental cuvées, often Chenin-based with very low intervention. The 2023 shows zesty lemon and grapefruit, green apple and herbs, with a slightly wild, flinty edge and strong mineral drive. The palate is tense and linear, with high acidity, light phenolic grip and a salty finish. It’s very much a terroir-driven, characterful Loire white.
