About this wine

Lasù is Muraje’s lighter, early-drinking red, typically labelled as Piemonte Vino Rosso and blending Nebbiolo with other local varieties from high-altitude vineyards. The 2022 vintage weighs in at around 12% alcohol and shows bright ruby colour and an exuberant nose of red cherry, cranberry, pomegranate, wild herbs and subtle peppery spice. The palate is light to medium in body, very fresh and crunchy, with fine tannins and a thirst-quenching, slightly saline finish. It’s the kind of wine you chill lightly and pour with charcuterie, grilled vegetables or simple pasta.

Muraje

Muraje is a tiny, highly artisanal project in Carema, working steep, terraced vineyards at the northern edge of Piedmont. The focus is on pure, high-altitude Nebbiolo that’s pale, aromatic and wonderfully tense, more about perfume and minerality than weight. Low intervention in the cellar lets the mountain character shine through.
