About this wine

Planetes Clàssic blends roughly equal parts Garnatxa, Carinyena and Garnatxa Peluda from biodynamic terraces around the Nin-Ortiz home vineyard. Whole-bunch fermentation in concrete with native yeasts keeps the fruit bright, while ageing in large foudres and older barrels adds gentle polish. The 2022 shows ripe red and black fruit, dried flowers, sweet spice and a very clear imprint of slate. It’s a benchmark Priorat “village” wine: structured enough for 10+ years, but already giving enormous pleasure.

Deep but bright ruby.

Black cherry, raspberry, violets, baking spice, dried orange peel and crushed rock.

On the palate

Medium-plus bodied with juicy, layered fruit, a touch of cocoa and spice, fine-grained tannins and a long, savoury, slate-mineral finish.

Familia Nin Ortiz

Família Nin-Ortiz farms steep, high-altitude vineyards in Priorat biodynamically, focusing on old-vine Garnacha and Carinyena. The wines are intense yet incredibly detailed, with pure fruit, wild herbs and a striking mineral core from their slate and clay soils. They are among the most refined, terroir-driven expressions of modern Priorat.
