About this wine

Domaine Nudant’s Corton-Bressandes comes from one of the more elegant sectors of the Corton hill, on marl and limestone soils that produce powerful but refined Pinot Noir. The 2011 shows a core of red and black cherry fruit, with raspberry, dried flowers, subtle spice and forest floor. On the palate it is full yet not heavy, with a backbone of tannin and acidity that keeps everything in balance. With age, tertiary notes of game, truffle and earth emerge, while the floral aromatics remain. It’s a very food-friendly wine, excellent with rich stews or game.

Tasting Note

Domaine Nudant emphasizes a powerful yet reserved Grand Cru, bold and tannic with floral aromatics, that pairs well with stews, marinated game and cheese and reveals great elegance and complexity over time.

In the glass

Deep ruby, moving toward garnet at the rim.

In the nose

Red and black cherry, raspberry, violets, earth and gentle oak spice.

On the palate

Full-bodied, firmly tannic, with dense fruit, savory notes and a long, earthy, floral-tinged finish.

Domaine Nudant

Domaine Nudant is a family-run estate with parcels scattered across both Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, including Corton grands crus. Their wines aim for classic Burgundian balance: honest, terroir-led Pinots and Chardonnays with clear fruit, moderate extraction and judicious oak. It’s a discreet domaine, focused on craftsmanship rather than show.
