About this wine

The 1995 Ornellaia is a Cabernet-dominant blend that has developed complex aromas of dried dark fruits, tobacco, leather, spice and a touch of mint. On the palate, it is medium-to-full-bodied with velvety tannins, integrated acidity and a long, savoury finish. It shows more finesse than sheer power, reflecting both the vintage and its age.

Robert Parker describes the 1995 (especially from magnum) as remarkably fresh with warm, exotic fruit, sweet tobacco and liquorice and a rich, full-bodied palate.
