About this wine

Palladino’s Gavi del Comune di Gavi is a classic expression of Cortese grown on limestone-rich soils. The wine shows pale straw colour and scents of citrus, white flowers and green apple. On the palate it’s light-bodied but intense, with zesty acidity and a savoury, almond-tinged finish. Ideal as an aperitif or alongside shellfish, crudo and light vegetable dishes.

Tasting Note

Critics describe a bright, citrus-driven Gavi with floral notes, crisp acidity and a clean, mineral finish rather than oak influence.

In the glass

Pale straw with green reflections.

In the nose

Lemon zest, green apple, white flowers and a touch of almond.

On the palate

Light, zippy and saline with a crisp lemon-peel bite and gently bitter almond finish.

Palladino

Palladino is a traditional estate in Serralunga known for honest, classically structured Barolo. Farming historic crus such as San Bernardo and Ornato, they produce wines with depth, iron-tinged minerality and firm yet noble tannins. Their Barbera, Nebbiolo and whites show the same straightforward, terroir-first philosophy.
